Fiesch is a nice, quiet village in a stunning setting. It is at 1’049 meters above sea level in canton Wallis at the foot of the Eggishorn. Through the village flows the river Rhône. Fiesch is very suitable for hiking, skiing, paragliding, mountain biking and for several other sports. Above Fiesch is the Great Aletsch Glacier, the largest glacier in Europe, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is also not far from the Binn Valley, which is well-known for its minerals. And so there is still much more to discover in Fiesch and its surroundings.
In the village itself there are several restaurants, bakeries, a supermarket, banks, sport shops and a sports centre with for example swimming, tennis, squash, volleyball, basketball and climbing. In the village is the valley station of the cable car Fiesch – Eggishorn, where a large parking lot is.
